The film is inspired by the events happening to the inhabitants of a small town which begin when Travis Walton is reported to be abducted by an extraterrestrial force. The local sheriff has doubt about his buddy Mike Rogers’s involvement in his disappearance. However, the abduction story is more supported when Travis returns with a tale which leads them to face with the ridicule and suspicion of the town and the media.
