Patsy Cline is a country music singer with a velvet voice. She has an unhappy marriage life, so when she is attracted by the charming man Charlie, she leaves her husband to marry him, and then gives up her singer career too. But when Charlie gets drafted into the U.S. Army, Patsy begins singing again and becomes a rising star, which makes her more confident and independent but worsen her marriage. She dies in a plane crash at the age of 30, when she is at her peak of her career.
