Description:
A black man Carl Lee Hailey is arrested after he goes to the courthouse with an automatic rifle and kills two rapists who raped and beat his 10-year-old daughter in rural Mississippi and nunintentionally injures Deputy Looney. Jake Brigance, a white attorney, agrees to protect him.
