‘’ Species 2’’ opens as two astronauts Mykelti Williamson and Justin Lazard return from the first successful mission to explore Mars. However, one of them is infected by an alien and slowly begins to mutate. The surviving team members from the first fil, co-operate with a peaceful, genetically re-engineered Sil to track the dangerous creature down.
