A movie centers arround a New Yorker named Barb Schwartz. She works as a paralegal but she hates this job and wants to look for a new lease. In addition, she stays in a dull studio apartment on Roosevelt Island with an overbearing family who always complains to her that she is still single. However, her life is changed by her first love : comedy when she meets a childhood friend again, ballet dancer Billy.
