Carl Casper is the head chef of Gauloise in Brentwood, California. Although he doesn't have the same thought with the restaurant owner of being loyal to tired "classics" rather than innovative dishes, he still follows her instruction, which leads him to conflict with the famous critic and blogger Ramsey Michel and lose his job. After that, he starts up a food truck with the help of his ex-wife and his tech-savvy preteen son Percy, where his creativity isn't limited, and that helps him to earn both success and high appreciation from Ramsey.
