The TV series follows Alicia Florrick who is disfavoured by her husband Peter, a scandal-ridden politican. Alicia has to leave behind her luxury life and settle in Chicago where she works as a lawyer for college friend Will Gardner when her husband is in jail. However, she also faces with a competition of a younger associate Cary Agos for a full-time job after they finish the trial period.
